Gen Hoshino is a singer born on 28th January 1981 in Warabi, Saitama, Japan. He is widely known for being a member of the band, Sakerock, which was formed in 2000 and dissolved in 2015. He released 10 albums with the band. Hoshino released his debut solo album “Baka no Uta” in June 2010. In March 2011, he released his first physical single that reached number 17 on the Oricon Singles Chart.
Hoshino released his third album “Stranger” in May 2013. The album charted at number 2 on Oricon Albums Chart. He has been co-hosting “Sake no Sakana”, a Ustream program, alongside Ichiro Yamaguchi. He released his fourth album “Yellow Dancer” in December 2015. The album topped the Oricon and Billboard album charts. Hoshino has also appeared in several films and television shows, including “Love & Peace” in 2015, “Mirai” in 2018, “Detective School Q” in 2007, and others.
