George Thomas Ford is a professional rugby player born in Oldham, England, on March 16, 1993. His first involvement in the rugby league was with Saddleworth Rangers at age four. George became the youngest Rugby Union player to make his professional debut for England at age 16. He received a nomination for the BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year in 2009.
George became the first Englishman to be named IRB World Junior Player of the Year in December 2011. He has won the Gilbert Golden Boot and the LV= Young Player of the Year award. He helped the England U20 team to the Six Nations Grand Slam and Junior World Championship final in Italy.
The fly half played for Bath Rugby, Leicester Tigers, and Sale Sharks. He won the 2012 Anglo-Welsh Cup and the 2013 and 2022 Premierships. He won 2016, 2017, and 2020 Six Nations Championship and the 2020 Autumn Nations Cup. YMU Rugby represents him.
