George Shelley Bio

George Shelley, born George Paul Shelley on July 27, 1993 in Clevedon, England, is an English singer and actor that got his start in music with the band Only The Young. He left the group in 2015 to compete on the show the X Factor as a soloist.

George entered auditions for the 9th season of the X Factor with his rendition of the song “Toxic.” He was eliminated in the next round but was asked to come back along with the band Triple J when a contestant was forced to withdraw from the competition. The two parties formed the group Union J and advanced to the judge’s house stage. The group progressed to the finals and finished 4th in the competition. George left the group in 2016 to focus on his solo music career. He released his debut EP Originals in 2016.
