George Springer was born in New Britain, Connecticut on September 19, 1989. He was the 48th round, pick of the Minnesota Twins in the 2011 MLB Amateur Draft. His current position is right fielder. He made his debut on April 16, 2014. He was part of the World Series in 2017, and he also earned the honor of being the WS MVP in the same year. In 2017, he also received the Silver Slugger award. He participated in the All-Star Games in 2017 and 2018, and he was the Rookie of the Month in May 2014. He is currently playing for the Houston Astros and wears shirt No. 4. He signed with the Astros and received a $2.52 million signing bonus. He played for the University of Connecticut’s baseball team.
