Georgios Printezis is a former professional basketball player who spent most of his career with Olympiacos Piraeus. Born on 22nd February 1985 in Syros, Greece, Printezis started his career with Olympiacos and was later loaned to Olympia Larissa. In 2009, he joined Unicaja Malaga on a three-year contract. In April 2011, he returned to Olympiacos. In July 2012, he extended his contract with Olympiacos for a further three years.
Printezis started his NBA career with the San Antonio Spurs after being selected in the second round (58th overall pick) of the 2007 NBA draft. In December 2011, he was traded to the New York Knicks, with Andy Rautins moving the other way. In 2012, he turned down a one-year deal from the Knicks, and in July of the same year, he was traded along with Kostas Papanikolaou to the Portland Trail Blazers.
