Gérard Depardieu Bio
Gérard Depardieu is a well-known French actor who was born on December 27th, 1948 in the city of Chateauroux in France. After finishing high school at the age of 15, he moved to Paris to pursue a career in acting. It was his performances as Napoleon, Jean Valjean, and De Bergerac that made him a household name. In 1985, he played the lead part in the French romantic crime film “Police,” which earned him the award for Best Actor at the Venice Film Festival. In 1991, he was honoured with a Golden Globe for his performance in the film “Green Card.” In addition, he has been nominated for a Cesar Award a total of 16 times, and won the award for Best Actor twice for a variety of roles. Moreover, he was also awarded the prize for best actor at the Cannes Film Festival in 1990 for his performance as Bergerac.
