Ghost Town is an American electronic rock band from Los Angeles, California. The band consists of vocalist Kevin “Ghost” McCullough and keyboardist Evan Pearce who eventually recruited drummer Manny Dominick and backing vocalist and guitarist Alix Koochaki. In 2012, high school friends McCullough, Koochaki and Dippner began to write music together and formed Ghost Town. In the same year of their formation, Dippner left the band to pursue his love of painting while still being connected to the band which worked out in giving Ghost Town an online presence. While Dippner was separated from the band, McCullough would send him rough cuts of their Ghost Town’s first few songs which Dippner featured on one of his painting video. The track Dippner used, “Game Freak”, instantly went viral, bringing more listeners to the emerging band. The band saw their potential after ‘Game Freak’ and started a project called ‘Ghost Town Tuesdays’ where they would release a new song every Tuesday for 9 weeks. This eventually led to their self-released debut album, ‘Party in the Graveyard’ in 2012 on YouTube and 2013 on iTunes. Their debut album was a success, landing a record signing with Fueled by Ramen, which led to the re-release of the album and a tour with Marianas Trench and Air Dubai. Ghost Town’s second album, ‘The After Party’ arrived in 2014 and was a Billboard success, debuting on the Billboard Top Heatseekers Chart at number 1 along with being listed on Rock Sound’s 50 Best Albums of the Year. As the band’s sound became to expand to a fusion between metal and traditional pop and EDM, their third album titled ‘Evolution’ was released in 2015 followed by a year of extensive touring in 2016 with the Vans Warped Tour, Reading and Leeds Festival and opening for Simple Plan’s European tour. Their latest release, ‘In The Flesh’, became available in 2018 with only McCullough and Pearce as the remaining members of the band.
