Gia Ketaro Ichikawa, better known by her stage name Gia Gunn, is a Japanese-American dance and drag performer who was born on May 10th 1990 in Chicago, Illinois, United States. Se is a 4th generation Japanese-American and was born and raised in Illinois, United States. She became interested in culture and art from a young age, and made her stage debut when she was five.
Gia is best known as a contestant in the 6th season of RuPaul’s Drag Race where she competed against Bianca Del Rio. Gia was eliminated on the fifth episode of the show where she portrayed Kim Kardashian and ended in the bottom two with Laganja Estranja. Gia also appeared in Mega's second season of The Switch Drag Race, the Chilean version of RuPaul's Drag Race.
She enrolled and received her cosmetology license after graduating from high school. The American drag performer came out as transgender in 2017 on the International Transgender Day of Visibility.
