Giovanni Grasso, widely known as Gianni Celeste, is a musician born in Catania, Sicilia, Italy, on June 24, 1964. He grew up listening to the songs of Mario Trevi and Nino D'Angelo. Gianni released his debut project, Ricordo d'estate, in 1985, with ten songs. He is associated with several record labels, including Seamusica, DV MORE, Phonotype Records, Mea Sound, and Play Record.
Gianni released his second album Il mio cammino in 1986. In 1992, he made his acting debut as Rosario Raito in Vite perdute, directed by Giorgio Castellani. He has appeared on Eterno amore, A testa alta, Musica, Vol. 1 (Raccolta di successi), Zero ostacoli, and Nun te permettere.
His popular songs include Te voglio troppo bene, Voglio a tte, Pazzo e Te, and Nun si solo n'ora. Gianni has released over 80 albums, including Lockdown, Icastico, The Legend (Live dal Teatro Tendastrisce in Roma), and É vita (Basi musicali con cori originali). He had a national tour, the Poor Seagull Tour, in 2022.
