Gillie Da King Bio
Born in 1984, Gillie Da Kid (Nasir Fard) is a rap artist from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Gillie Da Kid got his start in music by releasing a series of mix tapes such as 2007’s “Validation”. Following a public dispute with rap star Lil Wayne, Gillie Da Kid found himself with a great deal of media attention, which he was able to parlay into further collaborations with artists like DJ Drama. Gillie Da Kid’s 2008 single “Get Down on the Ground” would later be covered in 2013 by Soulja Boy.
