Gin Blossoms is a Pop/Rock band within the Alternative, Adult Alternative, Alternative/ Indie Rock and Contemporary genre. The group was formed in 1987 in Tempe, Arizona. The group consists of Bill Leen (59 years old born 1 March 1962), Jesse Valenzuela (58 years old born 1 March 1962), Robin Wilson (55 years old and born 12 July 1965), Scotty Johnson (58 years old born 11 October 1962) and Scott Hessel. Some of the former members were Chris McCann, Richard Taylor, Doug Hopkins(who passed away in 1993), Phillip Rhodes, Dan Henzerling and John Richardson.
The group’s debut album was labeled by Bakman, titled Dusted released in 1989. After their debut, they released 5 more albums. Their latest album labeled by Cleopatra, titled Mixed Reality was released in 2018. They were nominated for a Grammy with their song Long as It Matters, from their album Congratulations, I’m Sorry which went platinum in 1996.
