Ginny Baird is an author born in Wilmington, Delaware, United States. Her father is a Spanish professor, and his mother is a Puerto Rican schoolteacher. She is best known for publishing novels both online and in print. Her love for written words started at a young age. When she was a teenager, she started writing poetry and was encouraged by her high school teacher to pursue a career in writing. However, it took a few more years before that happened.
In college, she published stories in her college’s literary newspaper, but they were not so successful. After a short career with the US State Department, she started writing spy thrillers and was lucky to get two published in 2000. Around the same time, her first contemporary romance was accepted by Zebra Books. She went on to write novels, novellas, and collections and eventually received New York Times and USA Today's Bestseller status.
