Godspeed You! Black Emperor Bio
Coming from Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Godspeed You! Black Emperor was formed in 1994. The band is composed of experimental music rock artists. They self-released a 33-copy cassette entitled “All Lights Fucked on the Hairy Amp Drooling” in 1994. Then, they released another limited-run of 550 LPs entitled “F#A# (Infinity)” under Constellation label. It was then signed under Kranky and was released on CD.
In early 1999, the EP “Slow Riot for New Zero Kanada” was released, receiving attention from the likes of Wire Magazine. They performed impressive live shows. They even made it to Quebec’s 1999 new music festival FIMAV. They also toured Labradford that same year.
