Chicago-based chef Graham Elliot Bowles was born on 4 January 1977 in Seattle Washington. He is known to be a former judge on a massive cooking competition, Masterchef aired on TV. He attended culinary school at Johnson and Wales University and his first position fresh out of school was at the Mansion on Turtle Creek in Dallas, a five-star property where he worked under Chef Dean Fearing.
It was when he moved on to the Jackson House Inn and Restaurant in Vermont where he was named one of the then Best New Chefs by the Food and Wine Magazine in 2004. He also worked at the Avenue in Chicago where he helped them earn a 4-star rating from the Chicago Tribune as well as an AAA Five Diamond Award. He faced off against Chef Bobby Flay, in 2007, on the TV show Iron Chef America where he narrowly lost against Chef Flay.
