Greg Kinnear Bio

Actor and writer Greg Kinnear was born on June 17, 1963, in Logansport, Indiana. He started out with a few minor roles in television before hosting his own game show The Best of the Worst (1991), though the show only lasted a year before being cancelled. This must have been a blow as he created and produced the show as well as hosting it. However, this disappointment would not last long. That same year he would go on to host Talk Soup (1991-1995) and it was this that would see him win an Emmy Award in 1994.

His film debut came in Blankman (1994), but it was three years later when he starred in smash hit As Good as It Gets (1997) that he rose to prominence with an Academy Award nomination for best supporting actor. Since then, he has appeared in a number of films mainly in supporting roles including Robots (2005), Little Miss Sunshine (2006), Ghost Town (2008) and The English Teacher (2013).
