Gregory Alan Maddux, better known as Greg Maddux, is an American retired professional baseball player who played in Major League Baseball. He was born in San Angelo, Texas, United States, on April 14, 1966.
Greg began his professional baseball career in 1984 when he was selected by the Chicago Cubs in the second round of the MLB Draft. He went on to represent the Atlanta Braves, Los Angeles Dodgers, San Diego Padres, and Los Angeles Dodgers. In 1995, he won the World Series Championship with an Atlanta Braves team that featured Jeff Blauser, Marquis Grissom, Chipper Jones, and David Justice.
Greg’s career highlights include 8-time All-Star, NL Cy Young Award, MLB ERA leader, Chicago Cubs Hall of Fame, and Braves Hall of Fame.
