Greg Rutherford is a professional British athlete who was born on November 17th 1986 in Milton Keynes, England. Greg was the son of a builder and a nurse. Greg was good at most sports, especially soccer, growing up. And he even had a trial session with Aston Villa. By 2005, when he was eighteen, he became the youngest ever long jump winner at the AAA Championships. The year after that he won a European silver medal. In the 2008 Olympics, he came 10th in Beijing. Suffering injuries did not deter Greg. He won a gold medal in the London 2012 Olympics and he went to the 2016 Olympics in Rio as the world, European, Commonwealth and Olympic champion. He featured in the series Strictly Come Dancing, pairing with Natalie Lowe. They came seventh in the competition. He also participated in Celebrity Masterchef in 2019 reaching the final four. Greg was later named one of the Great Britain bobsleigh squads that will try to qualify for the 2022 Winter Games in Beijing.
