Gregory Alan Isakov was born on October 19, 1979 in Johannesburg, South Africa and then grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. There, he began touring with a band before eventually ending up in Colorado. This series of moves has had a big influence on his songwriting. He released his debut album, Rust Colored Stones, in 2003. His songs have featured heavily in TV shows, including Girls and Californication. Isakov’s most recent project was a collaboration with the Colorado Symphony. He toured with the group across the United States and released an album, Gregory Alan Isakov with the Colorado Symphony.
