The well-known TED talker, Fox News co-host, and beauty queen was born on June 21, 1966, in Anoka Minnesota as Gretchen Elizabeth Carlson. Gretchen graduated from Stanford University with a degree in sociology in 1990, a year after she won Miss America, where she represented her home state, in 1989.
She started her national-news career in 2000 on CBS’ The Saturday Early Show where she covered large news pieces, including the 911 terrorist attack. She not only co-hosted Fox and Friends with Steve Doocy, but she also starred alongside Rami Malek in Mr. Robot & Kevin Spacey in House of Cards. Gretchen also produced and starred in the documentary Gretchen Carlson: Breaking the Silence in 2019 where she spoke up about sexual harassment in the workplace.
