Gretchen Wilson is a Grammy-winning singer and songwriter from Illinois. She was born on 26 June 1973. Her inspiring journey begins with her residing in a trailer park with only her mother and dropping out of high school to pursue her passion for music. After moving to Nashville, songwriters, Big and Rich noticed her and introduced her to their peers. In 2003 her big break came in the form of a record label contract with Sony Music Nashville and her multi-platinum selling debut album “Here for the Party”. Gretchen Wilson became a Country star and dominated Billboard’s Hot 100 Country Song charts, with 20 songs making the cut, from which 5 singles penetrated the Top 10 hits, and 1 platinum-selling single topped the chart. The records released painted a similar picture with 3 of her collections topping Billboard’s Country Album, and 1 becoming a 5x Multi-Platinum Selling Album. Critical-acclaim soon followed, and she received 10 Grammy Nominations and 1 Grammy Award.
