Griffin Matthews is an American actor, writer, and director who was born on December 25, 1981, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Drama in musical theatre. As an actor, he is mostly known for his recurring role in HBO Max Original “The Flight Attendant”, starring Kaley Cuoco, as Shane Evans; Matthews has also played Patrick in TV series “Cashmere Mafia” and has appeared in other TV series like “The Mentalist”, “Torchwood”, “Law and Order: Los Angeles”, “The Carrie Diaries” and “Dear White People”. Matthews also played the role of Bix Mullen in the 2011 film “Weeds”. As a writer and director, Matthews co-wrote and directed a big number of staged readings of Witness Uganda, which is a documentary musical. He is also the founder of UgandaProject, a nonprofit organization that supports the education of orphans in Uganda.
