Guy Richie was born on Hatfield, Hertfordshire on September 10, 1968. He is known for his work in Sherlock Holmes (2009) which received several awards. He also worked as the director for its sequel Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (2011) and rumored 2020 release Sherlock Holmes 3.
His earliest directing credit is for the short The Hard Case in 2005. He also worked on Swept Away (2002), Revolver (2005), and King Arthur: Legend of the Sword (2017). His upcoming films include Aladdin which has a 2019 release and Toff Guys.
He also served as the executive producer of the TV series Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels. He worked as the producer, writer, and director of The Man from U.N.C.L.E. in 2015.
