Gyasi Zardes is an American professional soccer player, born on September 2, 1991, in Hawthorne, California. He started playing as part of the LA Galaxy youth academy before playing for the CSU Bakersfield Roadrunners college soccer team for three straight years. He has made his name at LA Galaxy, winning his first Major League Soccer Cup title in 2014. After achieving 34 goals and 17 assists in 131 games, Gyasi would join the Columbus Crew on January 20, 2018. He debuted with the Columbus Crew on March 3, 2018. Gyasi debuted in the US national team jersey on January 28, 2015, when he replaced Clint Dempsey in the 68th minute. Jurgen Klinsmann, the head coach for the national team, personally favored his entry into the national squad.
