Nestor Alexander Haddaway (who’s popularly known as just Haddaway) is Trinidad and Tobago-born singer, songwriter and actor who was born on January 9th 1965 in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. He was born to a father who was a Dutch oceanographer and a mother who was a nurse. Haddaway got his Doctorate in Political Science and History from George Washington University in Washington DC.
Haddaway is famous as the singer who dropped the super hot single What is Love in 1993 which peaked at #2 in the United Kingdom and German music charts. The track was used in a commercial for Diet Pepsi MAX that aired in Super Bowl XLII. His debut album featured the hit single I Miss You and Rock My Heart. He dropped the album Haddaway which got certified platinum in 1993. As an actor he starred in the unreleased fim Neverending Dream.
