Hakeem “Mean” Dawodu (born July 2, 1991 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada) is a Jamaican-Nigerian professional mixed martial artist and former Muay Thai fighter. He is currently signed to the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
As a Muay Thai fighter, Dawodu had 42 wins and 5 losses as an amateur (July 2010 - October 2012) and 9 wins and 0 loss as a pro (November 2012 - January 2015). As an MMA fighter, Dawodu competes in the featherweight division. On February 21, 2014, he made his professional debut against Behrang Yousefi, fighting on the preliminary card of WSOF Canada 1: Ford vs. Powell. His first win came against Behrang Yousefi who came into the fight with a 5-3-0 professional MMA record.
On March 17, 2018, Dawodu lost his UFC debut against Danny Henry by Submission at 0:39 of Round 1. Since his debut, Dawodu has gone on to fight 9 more times in the UFC. His UFC record stands at 6-3-0. As of October 25, 2022, Hakeem Dawodu has had 13 wins in the MMA with a 54% finish rate, including 7 by knockout, 6 by decision.
