Halle Berry Bio

Actress Halle Berry, born August 14th 1966 in Cleveland, Ohio, started out her career in beauty pageants. Berry earned the titles of Miss Teen Ohio, Miss Teen America, and 1st runner up in the 1985 Miss U.S.A. competition. Halle showed interest in broadcast journalism but ended up as a catalog model. Her first break was starring alongside Samuel L. Jackson in Jungle Fever. Berry appeared in a string of projects including Strictly Business, Knots Landing, The Flintstones, Losing Isiah, and Welcome to Hollywood. Halle co-produced and starred in Introducing Dorothy Dandridge, also known as Face of an Angel, which snagged her a Golden Globe and an Emmy. The powerhouse actress went on to star in the blockbuster hit X-Men, and reprised her role in X2, X-Men: The Final Stand and X-Men: Days of Future Past. Berry’s outstanding performance in Monster’s Ball earned her a Golden Globe nomination and an Academy Award. No stranger to action films, she went on to star in Die Another Die, Catwoman, and John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum.
