Comedian, actress and writer Hannah Gadsby, born January 12th 1978 in Tasmania, Australia, studied at the Australian National University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History and Curatorship. While in Adelaide, Hannah entered and won the national prize in Raw Comedy. She was sent to the So You Think You're Funny competition, which led to her touring stand-up shows including Adelaide Fringe, Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Sydney Comedy Festival. The comedian created her own stand-up show, Nanette, which was later released on Netflix. She went on to create the show Douglas, which she toured around the US, and Australia, which is also being put on Netflix. Aside from stand-up comedy, Hannah appeared in the TV series The Librarians, Underbelly, and Please Like Me. Gadsby not only writes for her herself, but has written for Adam Hills Tonight, and Please Like Me.
