Harry Maguire is a professional football player who plays for Premier League club Manchester United as a center-back. Born on 5th March 1993 in Sheffield, England, Maguire came through the Sheffield United youth system and was included in the senior team in 2011. He agreed to join Hull City in July 2014 in a deal that would see him stay with the club for three years. He made his debut on 20th December, replacing the injured Curtis Jones in the 77th minute in a defeat to Swansea.
In June 2017, he joined Leicester City on a deal that would see him play for the club for five years. In July 2019, he signed for Manchester United for a record fee, surpassing what Liverpool had paid for Dutch defender Virgil van Dijk. In January 2020, the then manager Ole Gunnar Solaskjaer named him club captain following the departure of Ashley Young. Maguire has made 55 appearances for the England national team, scoring 7 goals.
