Harry Melling, also known as Harry Edward Melling, is a British actor who was born on March 17, 1989 in London, England. In the cinematic adaptations of the Harry Potter novels, he plays the role of Dudley Dursley, Harry Potter's privileged cousin who is also the son of Vernon and Petunia Dursley. In addition to that, he provided the voice for the character in the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix adaptation for video games. Melling is the grandson of the renowned character actor Patrick Troughton, who passed away in 1987. Troughton was most famous for his role as the second Doctor in Doctor Who, which he played from 1966 to 1969. In 2017, Harry was chosen to play the character of Buster Scruggs in the newest film by the Coen Brothers, "The Ballad of Buster Scruggs." The world premiere of this film took place at the Venice Film Festival.
