Harry Shum Jr. is a Costa Rican actor and dancer born in Puerto Limon, Costa Rica on April 28, 1982. He is best known for his roles in the television series Glee and Shadowhunters. His debt into television was in 2003 on the show Boston Public, he has since been in shows like Committed, Zoey 101, The American Mall, iCarly, Greek, The Eric Andre Show, and others. His debut into film came in 2004 in the movie You Got Served and has gone on to land roles in the movies Stomp the Yard, Step Up 3D, White Frog, Moms’ Night Out, Crazy Rich Asians, and more. He has been nominated for numerous awards for his work in television and films and has won several, including a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series, a TV Scoop Award for TV Breakout Star – Male, a People’s Choice Award for The Male TV Star of 2018, among others.
