Harvey Sutherland Bio
Mike Katz (who’s known better via his online moniker as Harvey Sutherland) is a pianist, producer, and analog synth player who was born and raised in Australia.
Mike began as a solo artist with his EPs appearing as early as 2013. His EP ‘Bermuda’ dropped on MCDE and Mike later recruited Graeme Pogson (drummer) and Tamil Rogeon (strings) to perform the music on tour. The collaboration later evolved into a band. Mike later released his double single ‘Priestess/Bravado’ and his mini-album ‘Expectations’ was self-released through Clarity in 2017. His releases have been appreciated by prominent tastemakers like Bradley Zero, Tom Noble, and Motor City Drum Ensemble.
Some of his most popular singles include Amethyst (2018), Something in the Water (2019), and Superego (2020).
