Hawk Nelson Bio
Christian pop band Hawk Nelson from Ontario, Canada formed in 2003. Members include lead singer Jon Steingard, Daniel Biro on bass, Micah Kuiper on guitar and David Niacaris on drums. Hawk Nelson’s debut release was Letters To The President in 2004. Followed by hit albums Smile, It’s The End Of The World in 2006, Hawk Nelson Is My Friend in 2008, Live Life Loud in 2009 and one of their biggest albums Crazy Love in 2011 which made it to the top 100 of all albums that year. Hawk Nelson won three dove awards in 2012 for rock song of the year, contemporary song of the year and contemporary album of the year. The band’s songs have been used as promo pieces for JC Penney, The NFL, American Idol and the Olympics. The latest album, Diamonds, was released in 2015, with the song ‘sold out’ being penned by Jon Steingard personally.
