Hayley Squires is an English actress and playwright born April 16, 1988, in Forest Hill, London, England, UK. Squires became an actor after graduating from Rose Bruford College. She got a Bachelor of Arts degree in acting. Squires also did notable theatre work. Vera Vera Vera (2012), her first theater play, was a production of the Royal Court Theatre. Her other theater roles include plays such as As Good a Time as Any (2012), The Pitchfork Disney, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (both in 2017), The Lover, and The Collection (both in 2018). Squires had major roles in movies and series where she shared the screen of big stars such as Carey Mulligan (in the series Collateral where Squires was a part of the main cast), and the British actor and comedian Dave Johns in the movie I, Daniel Blake. The film itself got outstanding awards such as Palme d'Or, Prix du public, and BAFTA. Squires also earned accolades for her role in I, Daniel Blake. Her rewards include the British Independent Film Award (Most Promising Newcomer), the Denver Film Festival (Best Actress), and Evening Standard British Film Awards (Best Supporting Actress).
