Healy Bio

Healy, famously known as Ethan Healey, is a rapper from the United States who was born in Memphis in 1993. Before turning his attention to hip-hop, he taught himself how to play the guitar and even put out a few songs with an acoustic feel online. He posted his first EP, A Galaxy with Skin, in 2015 under the alias Healy, and it soon gained popularity. Healy's breakthrough tracks from his 2017 debut album Subluxe, which included the dreamily appealing single "Reckless," were somewhere between relaxed hip-hop and acoustic singer/songwriter genres. He was engrossed in medical school while his musical career was blossoming, but he managed to concentrate on both for the next few years, producing singles like "Phantoms" in 2016 and a full-length album, Subluxe, in 2017. He made a comeback in 2019 with the catchy new tune "Tucson."
