Heart Bio

Heart is an American rock band formed in 1967 in Seattle, Washington. The band was initially formed as The Army by Steve Fossen and brothers Roger Fisher and Mike Fisher and later became White Heart before taking the name Heart at the beginning of the 70s. Sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson joined later.

In 1976 they released their debut album Dreamboat Annie, followed by the album Little Queen in 1977. Heart reached quintuple platinum status with their self-titled album in 1985. The song, These Dreams, became the band's first song to top the Billboard Hot 100. The second one is Alone, which became their biggest U.S. hit, spending three weeks at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in 1987. Heart disbanded in 1998 but resumed performing in 2002. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.
