Héctor Oaks Bio
In 1990, Héctor Oaks—better known by his stage name, Cadency—was born in Madrid, Spain. He is a permanent DJ at Bassiani in Tiblisi and Herrensauna in Berlin. He also produces music and operates the OAKS label. He formerly worked at The Record Loft. He established OAKS, his own label, in 2016. Originally just intended for the publication of Oaks' own music, the label subsequently also issued songs by Ascion, Takaaki Itoh, and Oaks' other persona, Cadency. "Uno," "Dos," "Tres," and "Cinco" were his first four singles to be released on the label. By fusing the modern with specially chosen music from the past of rave culture, his interpretation on techno resonates. Oaks produces hard sounds that are influenced by the early stages of techno and rave. His first album, As We Were Saying, was published in 2018 by the Bassiani club in Tbilisi.
