Henrik Sedin Bio

Henrik Sedin was born in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden on September 26, 1980. He was a round 1 pick of the Vancouver Canucks in the 1999 draft.

Prior to playing in the National Hockey League, he was part of Sweden U16, Sweden U18, and Sweden U20. He won an Olympic gold medal in 2005-06.

In the 2009-10 season, he received the Viking Award for being NHL’s Best Swedish Player. He also made the Most Assists, and he won the Art Ross trophy for making the Most Points, and the Hart Trophy as the Most Valuable Player. From 2010-2012, he made the Most Assists and became part of the All-Star Game. In 2012-13, he received a World Championship Gold Medal and became part of the All-Star Team. He also won the King Clancy Trophy representing the NHL Leadership-Humanitarian award twice.
