Herschel Walker is an American entrepreneur and professional football player who played in the NFL as a running back. He was born in Wrightsville, Georgia, on March 3, 1962. He developed into a professional American football player through his time with the football teams at Johnson County High School and the University of Georgia. He took part in the NFL Draft of 1985 where he was selected by the Dallas Cowboys. During his time in Dallas, he played alongside Bill Bates, Troy Aikman, Ed Jones, Daryl Johnson, Nate Newton, and Michael Irvin. Herschel went on to play for the Minnesota Vikings, Philadelphia Eagles, and the New York Giants. His career highlights include a Heisman Trophy, two Pro Bowls, National Champion, Maxwell Award, and UPI Player of the Year. After his football career, Herschel briefly joined the world of mixed martial arts where he had a 2-0 record with the promotion Strikeforce. He created the companies Renaissance Man Food Services, Renaissance Drapery Manufacturing, and H. Walker Enterprises, LLC.
