Hideo Kojima is a prominent video game designer, writer, director, and producer from Japan, best known for his extensive work in the video game industry. He was born in Setagaya, Tokyo, Japan, on August 24, 1963.
Hideo gained worldwide recognition in 1987 when he wrote the game Metal Gear, which was a huge commercial success. He continued to contribute to the series in various capacities and worked on several sequels, including Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, and Metal Gear Solid. In addition to the Metal Gear series, he also worked on other successful games like Boktai 3: Sabata's Counterattack, Policenauts, and Death Stranding.
Kojima has won numerous awards for his contributions to the gaming industry, including an Academy Fellowship award at the BAFTA Awards and a NAVGTR Award for Best Game, Franchise Action.
