Hiroyuki Sanada is a popular actor born on 12th October 1960 in Shinagawa, Tokyo, Japan. He is widely recognized for starring in the films The Twilight Samurai and The Last Samurai. He also gained attention in the Shakespeare play “King Lear” as The Fool. Sanada made his debut in the film “Game of Chance” in 1966. After doing well in his auditions of the film “Shogun’s Samurai,” he decided to change his surname from Shimozawa to Sanada.
In 2005, Sanada starred in the film “The White Countess'' as Matsuda. In 2007, she featured in “Rush Hour 3” along with Jackie Chan and in 2009 in “The City of Your Final Destination” as Pete. In 2010, he was cast into the sixth and final episode of the ABC TV series “Los.” He appeared as a guest star in “The Last Ship” drama series as Takehaya. In 2019, he played Scorpion in “Mortal Kombat.”
