Born in 1987, Hit-Boy (Chauncey Hollis) is a rap artist from Fontana, California. Hit-Boy began his career producing music for other artists such as Mary J. Blige‘s “Stronger” in 2009 or Lil Wayne‘s “Drop the World” in 2010. He began to release his own music in 2012 with the track “Old School Caddy” in addition to mix tapes. While he would continue to produce music during this time, Hit-Boy would eventually have a full album of his own in 2014 with “We the Plug” as well as the 2015 single “Automatically”. In 2016, Hit-Boy would compose the beat for the track “Sorry” on Beyoncé’s hit album “Lemonade”.
