The American actor and writer Holland Taylor, also known as Holland Virginia Taylor, was born on January 14, 1943, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She relocated to New York City after graduating in order to pursue an acting career. She was well-known for her Broadway and Off-Broadway shows, including "The Cocktail Hour" and "Butley," from the 1960s through the 1980s. Even after making her television debut in the TV movie "J.T," she continued to work in films. Her first significant television appearance came when she co-starred with Tom Hanks in the comedy "Bosom Buddies." After then, she had prominent roles in a number of well-known TV shows, including "The Powers that Be," "The Naked Truth," "Electric City," and "Two and a Half Men." Additionally, she appeared in movies including "The Truman Show," "The Sex Monster," and "Legally Blonde." She has been nominated for many "Emmy" awards for her work in the television programmes "The Practice" and "Two and a Half Men."
