Hollyn, born Holly Marie Miller on January 3rd, 1997 in Waverly, Ohio began her musical career as a contestant on the twelfth season of American Idol. She progressed to the Hollywood rounds of the show before being eliminated. Both a vocalist and a song writer, she specializes in Christian pop and R&B.
Hollyn would next appear in 2015 on TobyMac’s songs “Backseat Driver” and “Light Shine Bright.” The song “Backseat Driver” charted on Billboard’s Christian Songs and Christian Digital Songs charts at numbers 29 and 16 respectively. She released her first EP, Hollyn, in 2015 on Gotee Records. The single “Alone” charted in at number 11 and number 3 on both the Christian Airplay Chart and the Christian Top 40. In 2017 Hollyn released her debut album, One-Way Conversations.
