Hombres G is a Spanish rock-pop band formed in Madrid in 1983. It originally consisted of lead vocalist and bassist David Summers, guitarist Rafael Gutierrez, keyboardist Daniel Mezquita, and drummer Javier Molina. The band recorded its first hits in 1983, and by the summer of 1985, they became a mass success in Spain. Throughout the late 80s, the band sustained its strength with albums like “La Cagaste, Burt Lancaster” (1986), “Estamos Locos ¿o Qué?” (1987), and “Voy a Pasármelo Bien” (1989), becoming very influential and even starred in two feature films in 1987 and 1988. In 1993, after two more albums, the band dissolved, only to reunite in 2002 for a tour throughout Latin-America. The band also released digital re-issues of all their original albums by the end of 2002, and the following year, artists like Alex Ubago and El Canto del Loco released a tribute cover album of the band’s greatest hits. In 2004 the band released a new album called “Peligrosamente Juntos,” and produced two more albums in the late 2000s.
