Hot 8 Brass Band Bio
Hot 8 Brass Band is a music group from Louisiana, United States. The band was formed in 1995 by 16 members. Sadly, four members passed away and others left. They released their first studio album “Rock with The Hot 8” in October 2007 under the Tru Thoughts label. The following year, they were featured in the Blind Boys of Alabama’s studio album “Down in New Orleans.
Their second studio album “The Life and Times of the Hot 8 Brass Band” was released in November 2012. This was followed by the third album “Tombstone” in May 2013. The band has played in major events and festivals, including the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, and the San Antonio Association Festival. They also appeared on the Tom Joyner Morning Show. The band has toured many countries, including England, France, Japan, Spain, and Finland.
