Hot Chip are an English rock pop group formed in 2000. The band is composed of Alexis Taylor, Al Doyle, Owen Clarke, Joe Goddard and Felix Martin. Their music is mainly influenced by disco, synth-pop and house. The group began to play around the 2000s and their first EP “Mexico” was released in 2001. Their debut album “Coming on Strong” was released in 2004 by Moshi Moshi Records. Their second album “The Warning” released in 2006, earned them a Mercury Prize nomination. The band’s third album “Made in the Dark” was a success and it included the hit single “Ready for the Floor” which got nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording. They are known for their live performances filled with improvisation and energetic atmosphere. They have played at major festivals all over the world, such as Coachella, Glastonbury, Lollapalooza, and Osheaga.
