Hugo Gaston Bio

Hugo Gaston, a French tennis player, was born on September 26th, 2000 in the city of Toulouse. He is from France. In 2018, Gaston and fellow countrymen Clément Tabur won the Boys' Doubles competition at the Australian Open. At the Youth Summer Olympics held in Buenos Aires the same year, he was selected to carry the French flag as France's flag bearer. There, Gaston won his first major championship in the singles competition, as well as two bronze medals: one in the boys' doubles competition with Clément Tabur, and the other in the mixed doubles competition with Clara Burel. The next week, his position improved to a career-best No. 2, which he accomplished. Gaston also qualified for the ITF Junior Masters, where he played well enough to go to the semifinals but was ultimately eliminated by Tseng Chun-hsin. Gaston was crowned champion of the Orange Bowl International Tennis Championship in December of 2017.
