Huma Qureshi is an Indian film actress and model born in New Delhi, India on July 28, 1986. She started her career as a theatre actress and model before moving to Mumbai and signing a contract with Hindustan to appear in television commercials. She was discovered by Anurag Kashyap after appearing in a Samsung mobile commercial and was signed to a three-film deal. In 2012 she made her debut in film in the crime drama Gangs of Wasseypur – Part 1 and continued landing roles in the films Trishna, Ek Thi Daayan, D-Day, Dedh Ishqiya, Shorts, Badlapur, Highway, White, Z: Past Is Present, Kaala, Leila, Jolly LLB 2, Dobaara: See Your Evil, Viceroy’s House and more. Throughout her career she has been nominated for a number of awards and has won a Stardust Award, an Indian Film Festival Los Angeles Award, a BIG Star Entertainment Award, and others.
