Hyoyeon (DJ Hyo) Bio
Kim Hyo-yeon, better known as Hyoyeon or DJ Hyo is a South Korean singer, DJ, dancer, and TV personality who is best known as a member of the all-female musical group Girls’ Generation. She was born in Incheon, South Korea, on September 22, 1989. She began her career in entertainment as a dancer while in middle school. Kim continued to pursue her dancing career, studying under Kwang Hoo and Jae-won. She joined Girls’ Generation in 2007, and she has been a part of the group ever since. Kim has released some music as a solo artist including the hit singles DESSERT, Punk Right Now, Sober, and Second.
She has appeared in the TV series Invincible Youth, Hello Baby, Weekly Idol, and Girls' Generation, and the Dangerous Boys. As a member of Girls’ Generation, Kim has won numerous awards including the Asia Song Festival Awards for Asian Best Group and The Best Asian Artist, Gaon Chart Music Awards for Album of the Year and Song of the year, and Golden Disc Awards for Disk Daesang and Popularity.
