Hyun-Jin Ryu is a South Korean professional baseball player who plays as a pitcher in Major League Baseball. He was born in Incheon, South Korea, on March 25, 1987.
Hyun began his professional baseball career in 2006 when he signed with the Hanwha Eagles, and he made the switch to Major League Baseball in 2013 when he signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Hyun now plays for the Toronto Blue Jays, and throughout his time with the Toronto outfit, he has played alongside George Springer, Kevin Gausman, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Alek Manoah, and Jackie Bradley Jr.
His career highlights include All-Star, All-MLB Second Team, MLB ERA leader, Korean Triple Crown, KBO All-Star, KBO MVP, and the KBO Golden Glove Award.
